MTL & DTL

MTL or DTL?

Mouth to Lung or Direct To Lung
There's actually third one but we'll cover that after the main two. MTL, or Mouth to Lung style vaping, is a technique more similar to how most people smoke a cigarette. In this style, the smoker/vaper first inhales the smoke/vapor into their mouth and then takes the cigarette away from their lips before inhaling into the lungs. For those new to vaping, this is considered the easiest way to transition from smoking to vaping. It's typically the best method if you need a higher nicotine strength, as this style of vaping doesn't produce a large amount of vapor. However, with the correct nicotine level, it can effectively curb the craving for a cigarette. MTL has become the most common style of vaping, gaining more popularity in recent years with the rise of disposable e-cigarettes and nicotine salt liquids, which allow for higher nicotine strengths (up to 20mg) without the harshness of traditional freebase nicotine. DTL (Direct To Lung) or Just DL (Direct Lung) Style vaping traditionally produces more vapor due to the higher-powered devices used and high VG-based liquids. The high VG liquids, combined with a low nicotine strength, allow the vaper to directly inhale the vapor from the device into the lungs without the harshness found in high nicotine strength, high PG content e-liquids used in MTL devices. Direct To Lung vaping can be more satisfying for some with the more saturated vapor and the visual cloud it produces. Due to the fact that these devices are used at higher wattages, they tend to use more liquid and are larger in size to accommodate the larger battery. Typically, a Direct To Lung device can use three times as much liquid as an MTL device. RDL or RDTL (Restricted Direct To Lung) is a vaping style somewhere in between MTL and DTL. A lot of the MTL kits are capable of this style of vaping,
